The extension project of Stubički Golubovec Castle with its associated access road represents a demanding intervention on one of the most significant historic structures in north-western Croatia. The aim of the project is to functionally and technically modernise the existing complex in order to enable its cultural, tourism, and public use, while simultaneously preserving the original architectural identity of the castle. The extension encompasses the construction of a new structure or spatial expansion complementary to the historic building, as well as the development of a quality access road providing safe passage for visitors, users, and service vehicles.

The construction works include the structure of the extended section built to contemporary standards, with careful alignment to the existing architecture of the castle. Particular attention is devoted to finishing details, material selection, and technical solutions to ensure that the new spaces are aesthetically, functionally, and technologically integrated into the cultural and historical ensemble. The access road is constructed with adaptation to the terrain configuration, drainage management, slope protection works, and installation of load-bearing pavement layers, thereby ensuring the durability and safety of traffic movement.
